CPUC Resolution L-616 Ratifies MOU for Vehicle-to-Everything Collaboration
The California Public Utilities Commission ("CPUC") ratified a multiparty Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") designed to support and participate in the Vehicle-to-Everything ("V2X") Collaboration. The Collaboration will explore opportunities for investments that will accelerate and enable bidirectional plug in electric vehicle ("PEV") integration into the electrical grid.
Signatories to the MOU are:
- Investor-Owned Utilities: San Diego Gas & Electric, Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas and Electric
- Power, Water, and Waste Companies: Fermenta Energy, the Waste Management Company - Lancaster, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power,City of Lancaster and City of Lancaster Community Choice Aggregator, Sacramento Municipal Utility District
- State Government Agencies: California Energy Commission, U.S. Department of Energy
- Labor Groups: National Electrical Contractors Association - Los Angeles, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - Chapter 11
- Auto Manufacturers: BYD Motors, General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Lucid Group
- Other: Rhombus (security cameras), Zeem Solutions (electric vehicle transportation-as-service)
