Utilities File Joint Advice Letter in Compliance with Resolutions E-5167 and E-5168
The investor-owned utilities ("IOUs") hosted a public workshop, then filed a joint Tier 2 advice letters ("ALs") in compliance with Ordering Paragraph ("OP") 8 or Resolution E-5167 and OP 4 of Resolution E-5168. The AL proposes an average project timeline and actions to improve project timelines associated with the EV Infrastructure Rules.
The AL was filed for:
- San Diego Gas & Electric: AL 4011-E
- Bear Valley Electric Service: AL 444-E
- Liberty Utilities: AL 192-E
- Pacific Gas & Electric: AL 6607-E
- PacificCorp: AL 685-E
- Southern California Edison: AL 4803-E
The AL proposes the following timeline and actions:
- The IOUs propose an average numerical target of 160 business days.
- The average numerical target should only apply to steps within the IOU's direct control for EV Infrastructure Rules work.
- The average numerical timeline should not apply to steps that are not directly within the IOUs' control.
- The IOUs are committed to making ongoing improvements to the energization timeline for customers.
- The IOUs can contribute to improving timing processes outside of their control.
- The IOUs find some of the feedback collected from stakeholders during and after the energization public workshop infeasible.
