Resolution 4849 - Extension of Customers Protections During COVID-19
Res. 4849 continues the moratorium on disconnections for non-payment and orders detailed transition plans that the IOUs must implement to ease customers back into standard utility billing rules.
- Customer protections are extended to June 30.
- IOUs must submit Draft Transition Plan Advice Letters by April 1.
- The transition plans will include:
- Timeline of new start and resumed activities;
- Marketing, education and outreach (ME&O) strategy;
- Explanation of the activities timeline and ME&O strategy accounts for compliance and safety; and
- A progress tracking and reporting plan.
